I'm not dead

Yay! I'm living in Lincoln and I don't have any internet access in my apartment so I am here typing this over at my local library.

I've been busy working on getting into Grad school and just now I've submitted my portfolio for review.

I do have some doubts about my work and I'm trying my best not to over think about it and stay positive. And if I don't get into grad school I'll just be a street artist and shove potatoes into the exhaust pipes of police cars.

Post Graduate goal update

Things I (want to/must/have to) do after I graduate:
- Turn my car into an Art Car
- Learn Sign Language
- Learn Swedish
- Take Music Lessons
- Continue making more comics
--Go to comic book conventions
--Create a blog (already done)
- Write more shitty plays and haikus
- Take vacations by myself
- Get the hell out of my current location and move somewhere more "classy"

Today I got a job and an apartment in Lincoln, NE. I will be slowly moving in starting this friday (10/26/12).

In the mean time enjoy this photo of a toddler dressing up a ziggy stardust and reflect upon how uncool your parents were for not dressing you up as Bowie's alter ego.

ghost plater

The illustrator, Stasia Burrington, was the first person to introduce me to Porcelaine pens via her website at http://stasiaburrington.com/, and they're really fun to work with. I really recommend these to anyone who has a shit ton of boring white mugs and plates.

TV Survey!

I love my drag queens, Canadians, and cartoons

I'm flabbergasted by the two incredibly crisp dollars they sent me as an incentive to do the survey.

FLCL

I have wonderful memories of watching this show late at night and doing my best not to get caught by my parents.

With me being out of college, I now have to decide on if I want to go to Gradschool or not (which is a definite yes) and also what I want to go into for study. I've thought back to all of the things that have revolutionized who I am and I always think about films by Fassbinder, art by Frieda Kahlo, and without a doubt, FLCL. All I want to do  in my life is to create something worth staying super late on a school night to watch and reenact that same sensation of a billion bions flowing within you that can either create or destroy universes. Or simply put, I want to make cool things.
