FLCL

I have wonderful memories of watching this show late at night and doing my best not to get caught by my parents.

With me being out of college, I now have to decide on if I want to go to Gradschool or not (which is a definite yes) and also what I want to go into for study. I've thought back to all of the things that have revolutionized who I am and I always think about films by Fassbinder, art by Frieda Kahlo, and without a doubt, FLCL. All I want to do  in my life is to create something worth staying super late on a school night to watch and reenact that same sensation of a billion bions flowing within you that can either create or destroy universes. Or simply put, I want to make cool things.

The frog in the wheelchair and the unstoppable Cupcake

Chad Woody over at Cranial Stomp Comix (http://cranialstomp.blogspot.com/) wrote a fantastically wonderful fable about a grumpy handicapped frog being tormented by a cupcake and I'm turning it into a comic that will completed this month.

I've been having fun working with dry brush and various shades of blue.

I have an etsy shop now. It looks really rough, but then again, I just made it a few minutes ago. Enjoy!

post art in the park

for my first public event I'm happy on how it turned out.

I'm now reworking on a painting I did in a beginning painting class. Here's what it looked like before...

For this project I looked at the work of Wayne White...

And this is what I have so far...

first drawing my text with pastel

then with painting
I'm keen with the way A looks with the incoherent solid white and pink. I don't know if I want to have Хрустальный with the same colors or if I should keep the transulcent box look. Tell me what you think. And if you don't know what the painting is saying get a Russian to English dictionary!
